PFF manufacture recyclable polypropylene Desto pots for FUEL10K’s banana & chocolate and double chocolate flavoured hot oat Muffins. We were delighted when our customer approached us to make packaging for a new toffee apple version which has been launched in time for Halloween and Guy Fawkes day.
The muffins require heating in a microwave and the polypropylene inlet makes the pot completely fit-for-purpose. The inlet also provides a barrier to prevent leakages and a flat rim for heat sealing.
A paperboard outer sleeve provides strength, decoration and insulation and protects hands and fingers against a hot product. As with all PFF’s Destos, the sleeve can be easily detached from the pots and both are 100% recyclable.
Just like PFF, FUEL10K is proud to be a UK brand and it is great to be working with them.
Did you know, toffee apples were first made by a veteran candy-maker in Newark, New Jersey in 1908. While experimenting in his candy shop with red cinnamon candy for the Christmas trade, he dipped some apples into the mixture and put them in the windows for display. And the rest is history!
