      Desto Packaging

      A combination of lightweight plastic inlet and cardboard wrap around sleeve, the Desto cup offers the advantages of both plastic and paperboard containers with a significant reduction of plastic content when compared to other formats. The materials can be separated for recycling.

      Desto packaging is suitable for a variety of markets including horticultural, dairy products, ready meals, hot drinks, hot and cold snacks, confectionery, porridge and ‘meals-for-one’.

      It is lighter than injection moulded pack formats saving on materials. Cut out windows are available for increased product visibility and single colour inner sleeve and base printing can be provided. Our Desto products are exempt from the Plastic Packaging Tax 2022.

      PFF has its own Design Studio where we can manage in-house artwork and assist with branding and barcoding.

      A 170-200g tear strip Desto product is the latest addition to PFF’s range of Desto pots. With a 95mm diameter and 51mm height, it can accommodate 170-200g of contents, depending on density.

      Technical Specification

      • Polypropylene inlet suitable for microwaving and freezing.
      • Inlets provide a barrier to prevent leakages and a flat rim for heat sealing.
      • Paperboard outer sleeve provides strength, decoration and insulation to protect against hot products.

      Environmentally Friendly

      • Packaging is 66% lighter compared with conventional injection moulded packs
      • Pot and sleeve are easily separated for onward recycling
      • Paperboard sleeve is made from renewable resources
